Our apartment is aprox 1200 sq feet with an additional 1000 sq feet of private wrap-around terrace. The apartment is on the top (7th) floor of a newer building. The master bedroom has a walk-in closet and on-suite full bathroom. There is a second bedroom functioning as an office with desk, shelves of books, television, and a very comfortable double futon for guests. The living/dining area is large, spacious, and well lit with glass sliding door access to the terrace. The kitchen is modern with granite counters and an island. Dishwasher, microwave, gas oven and large fridge. There is a Brazilian terracotta water filter system. Off the living room is a second full bathroom. The bathrooms are both large, spacious and made of marble. The floors of the apartment are beautiful hardwood. The furniture in the living/dining area is: Danish modern dining table, Brazilian rosewood credenza, and Roche Bobois white cream leather sectional sofa with ottoman. The design of the auxiliary furniture is mid century modern. The apartment is decorated with numerous pieces of art. There is high speed internet, smart TV, and telephone. There are large air conditioner units in each room. The heat is from hot water central heating. This is a spacious, open, and very clean apartment. There are only 3 other apartments on this penthouse 7th floor. It is extremely quiet and private.

There is secure underground parking and a large laundry room with 4 washers and 4 dryers in the basement. The building has video intercom security. There are both people and people bikes, as well as a hitch mounted bike carrier. There is also a large cruiser motorcycle which can be made available for your use if you so wish.

In the evening you can relax on the 1000 sq feet of terrace having a meal, drinking wine, and enjoying the fresh air from the nearby park as you take in the skyline of NYC. The terrace has a system of gardens and flowers with automated irrigation. In addition, the terrace has exercise equipment. This is a private terrace accessible to you only, and blocked off from unwanted viewers from all but aircraft. Imagine having dinner with items from your own garden, taking a long walk in the nearby Forest Park, and then ending the evening watching night sky from your terrace.

You will enjoy the wonderful areas of Kew Gardens and Forest Hills Gardens nearby. The area near the apartment is designed as a English village with many parks. It is refreshing to have the wonderful parks, art house cinemas, world cuisine restaurants, and public transport all on your doorstep. The lovely residential village (inside of NYC!) is adjacent to the large and very un-manicured Forest Park. The park has numerous walking trails, a golf course, a horse riding stable, a band-shell for live music, a childrens antique carousel, a running track, tennis courts, and sports fields. This park is truly the most beautiful natural park in NYC, and it is connected by bike/walking path to the other large parks nearby (Corona Flushing Meadows, Cunningham, Kissena, AlleyPond, Botanical Gardens, US National Tennis Center, Mets Stadium). A short drive (or subway ride) nearby is Rockaway Beach for the hot summer days to relax in the ocean. The location of the apartment also allows for quick and easy access to the expressways to get to the attractions of Long Island or to head north to New England. In addition to the numerous supermarkets, there are also two farmers markets within walking distance.

Transportation is very convenient. Less than a 2 minute walk is an express train to Manhattan (15 minutes). A 10 minute walk are 3 subways lines to Manhattan (30 minutes). There are two bus lines directly outside the building; one goes to Brooklyn, the other to the nearby subway stations (3 minutes). There is also a shuttle outside the building to JFK and LGA airports ($8 & 15 minutes).
